How to avoid the creation of products.

Qstomizer

By default, Qstomizer creates a new product in the store each time a customer personalises a product. There are 2 possible solutions to prevent the customized product to appear in the store:

  • First: Hide them. Each product created by the app has the tag "hideme". It is possible to add some code to the store to hide all the product with that tag. Here you have a step by step guide.
  • Second: Change the behaviour of the app to avoid the creation of these products. But in this case, the image of the customized product can be shown in the cart, but not in the checkout process (where the customer writes the shipping address and make the payment).

The second option involves some deeper changes in the theme of the store. These changes depends on the theme so, if you are interested on doing this change, contact us and we will do it for you.

Note.: The second option makes Qstomizer compatible with other apps to add more options to the product (like Bold Product Options) and also to work with tiered prices apps like Quantity Breaks. If you need to work with these kind of apps, you will need the second option. contact us to do the change.
